Early Life and Background
Jaiswal comes from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, which is why his Yeh Rishta co-star Rohit Purohit nicknamed him “Banarasi babu” in a farewell post. No reliable outlet has published his birthday or birth year, which is why no age appears here.
Entertainment was not his first plan. Speaking to The Times of India in 2023, as summarised by NewsX, he said he had thought about further studies abroad, then started making content during the COVID-19 lockdown. Modelling jobs and fashion influencing followed, and that work slowly pulled him towards acting. He has called the shift to Mumbai a turning point, because steady offers began to arrive once he was based there.
He also likes a contest. “Since childhood I’ve been contesting different challenges, be it in my school days or college or post that and now in reality shows,” he told IANS in 2023, in an interview carried by Outlook India.
Career
MTV Splitsvilla X4
His television break was Splitsvilla 14, styled Splitsvilla X4, which was shot in Goa and hosted by Sunny Leone and Arjun Bijlani. The season aired from 12 November 2022 to 11 February 2023. According to the season table on Wikipedia, Jaiswal’s run ended when Honey and Akashlina dumped him. The show still gave him a following: it is the credit outlets now mention first when they introduce him.
Roadies: Karm Ya Kaand (2023)
Next came the 19th season of Roadies. Sonu Sood presented it, and the three gangs were led by Gautam Gulati, Prince Narula and Rhea Chakraborty. At the auditions Jaiswal was listed from Varanasi and went through to Rhea’s gang, as the audition table on Wikipedia shows. He stayed with her for the whole journey and told IANS he had “found a sister” in the actress, calling her Didi off camera.
His stay was not always smooth. In September 2023 he publicly objected to being labelled a “cry baby” and said he was disappointed with Prince Narula. “I believe in speaking out and not being a victim,” he said. He still went the distance: Filmibeat named him among the five finalists alongside Himanshu Arora, Vashu Jain, Siwet Tomar and Prakram Dandona. Vashu Jain won the season and Siwet Tomar finished runner-up.
Anupamaa, Kundali Bhagya and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai
Between the two reality shows he moved into daily soaps, with appearances in Anupamaa and Kundali Bhagya. In November 2023 he confirmed to Filmibeat that he was joining Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai after its generation leap. He described his character as part of a family of lawyers: “I’m the one who wants to be a lawyer but doesn’t want to join the family business.” He added that the rebellious, fun-loving Krish was close to his own nature.
He played Krish Bansal in the Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit era of the show until April 2026, when he signed off with an “It’s a wrap” post. Co-stars sent warm goodbyes; Sandeep Prajora called him “a genuine and a humble guy”, The Free Press Journal reported. Aryan Arora took over the part. Around the same time Jaiswal released a song, “Tumne Dil Diya Nahi”.

Rishabh Jaiswal in Rise and Fall 2 (2026)
Banijay Asia produces Rise and Fall 2 for Prime Video, with former cricketer Virender Sehwag as host; the season opened on 26 September 2026, and a new episode drops daily at 12 noon. Players are split into Rulers in the Penthouse and Workers in the Basement. Jaiswal teased his entry on Instagram with a photo of a “Wild Card” card and the line, “Ek wildcard pura game palat sakta hai.” A day later he was confirmed, Daily Jagran reported, telling fans: “I’m here to shake things up. I’m here to give it my all. And most importantly, I’m here for the win.”
He entered on Day 14 of the game (Wikipedia) in episode 17, along with Jashwanth Bopanna and Sonam Malik, after Tej Pratap Yadav had walked out. Unlike the other two, he started in the Penthouse as a Ruler beside Swara Bhasker, Shehzad Poonawalla, Niharika Tiwari and Irina Rudakova.
He was soon at the centre of the power games. In episode 18 he and Niharika cleared up misunderstandings about mutual friends outside the Tower, and the Workers then picked him to reshuffle the Ultimate Ruler race. In the next episode he swapped Niharika out for Irina Rudakova, only for Swara to use her own power to knock him out of the race, Filmibeat reported. When Karan Patel came back to the show, Jaiswal was the only Ruler who did not vote to welcome him upstairs, yet the two then ended up together in the same Penthouse team for the “batwara” twist.
In episode 26, streamed on 21 October 2026, Karan and Jaiswal entertained the house with impressions of the Rulers and Workers while Pawan Singh visited. The mood turned when the Rulers had to nominate each other for a fall: Swara and Karan both named Jaiswal, and he was nominated for the Ultimate Fall with Jashwanth. Filmibeat headlined the pair’s fall to the Basement, though a new power for Ultimate Ruler Niharika, to be revealed by Pawan Singh, was still pending as the episode ended.
The fall came the next day. In episode 27, streamed on 22 October, Pawan Singh handed Niharika a choice: send both Jaiswal and Jashwanth to the Basement and double the Penthouse prize pot, or send only one of them down and leave the money as it was. She took the bigger gamble and sent both men downstairs, Filmibeat reported. His time as a Worker was short. In episode 28, on 23 October, the Workers won the Printing Press Challenge and pulled off the season’s first Takhta Palat: they took over the Penthouse as the new Rulers, while every former Ruler apart from Niharika was sent to the Basement, according to Filmibeat. Jaiswal was a Ruler again, with Manish, Jashwanth and him talking up an alliance, and as week 4 began everyone in the Tower was nominated for elimination.

He was one of four Rulers nominated for a fall on 28 October 2026, but kept his place in the Penthouse when Manish Kasyap and Sonam Malik went down instead. The latest standings are on our Rise and Fall 2 contestants list.
Personal Life
Jaiswal is in a relationship with influencer Shreya Kalra, who won the second season of Netflix’s Lock Upp on 5 August 2026. He was among the visitors who came to meet her during that season, as listed on Wikipedia. When he announced his own reality-show move, she commented, “Baby you’re the best. I know you’ll bring that trophy home.”
He keeps creating content alongside acting, although he has admitted that long shooting days on a daily soap make it hard to keep up with social media.
