Hometown and Background
Myscmme lives in Anand Nagar, a neighbourhood in the Pandu area of Guwahati. The Sentinel and Pratidin Time both place her there, and Pratidin Time calls her an Assamese singer. Beyond that, she has kept her private life out of the news. Trustworthy reports don’t give her birth date, her schooling or details of her family, and we won’t guess at them. Reports from July 2026 described her as being in her early twenties, but without a published birth date her exact age is not publicly known.
Indian Idol 15 (2024–25)
Her first season, which Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani and Badshah judged, was on air from 26 October 2024 until 6 April 2025, according to the season’s Wikipedia page. Myscmme made the Top 16 and opened her gala run with “Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum”. Over the following months she covered a wide spread of Hindi film music, from “Kahin Aag Lage” and “Taal Se Taal” on the Subhash Ghai night to “Jai Jai Shiv Shankar” in the Top 10 round.
One of her better-remembered evenings was the Rajshri Productions special. Filmibeat reported that she sang “Mhare Hiwda Mein Nache Mor” from Hum Saath Saath Hain in front of director Sooraj Barjatya and two of the film’s actors, Karisma Kapoor and Mohnish Bahl. Barjatya told her, “You have done complete justice to the song.”
She also shared the stage with fellow contestants outside the competition, including a non-competitive duet of “Ye Raat Bheegi Bheegi” with Subhajit Chakraborty, and she was one of the singers in “It’s Time to Say Yas”, a Yas Island music video released on 16 March 2025, as Indiantelevision.com reported. Her run ended in the Top 8 semi-final round, built around Karan Johar’s films: after singing “Ghagra”, she was eliminated on 22 March 2025 in a double elimination. The franchise’s Wikipedia page lists her in seventh place. Manasi Ghosh went on to win the season, with Subhajit as runner-up.
Indian Idol 16: From Wildcard to the Grand Finale
Season 16 premiered on 18 October 2025, again on Sony, as its Wikipedia page records, with the same three judges. It became the longest-running season the show has had. In April 2026, during a reunion-themed Top 8 round (11–12 April), Myscmme and Chaitanya Devadhe were brought back as wildcard entrants. Speaking to Filmibeat in July 2026, she admitted the call surprised her: “When I left Season 15, I was happy and grateful. I never thought I would come back. Initially, I thought someone was joking when they called me.” She saw her earlier run as her edge over the others, saying, “The stage feels familiar now. It feels like coming back home.”
Several of her Season 16 performances were duets with Tanishk Shukla, among them “Yeh Raatein Yeh Mausam”, “Chup Gaye Sare Nazare” and “Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin”. That pairing became her team in the next season. In the Top 7 round she was safe after singing “Bahut Pyar Karte Hai” and “Tamma Tamma Loge”, and she reached the Top 6 grand finale.
Before the finale she flew home to Guwahati, and on 15 July 2026 hundreds of fans met her at Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, as News Live reported. She thanked Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who had posted his good wishes for her on social media, and asked people in the state to vote. Telling Pratidin Time why it mattered, she said: “In the past 16 years, no one from here has gone on to win the title, so this journey has been truly special for me.”
The finale aired on 26 July 2026. India TV reported that she was the first finalist out, eliminated after the Spotlight Round, which left her sixth. Jyotirmayee Nayak won the title, and Tanishk Shukla was first runner-up.
Indian Idol Legends Return (2026) with Tanishk Shukla
Less than three months after that finale, Myscmme was back on Sony for the show’s seventeenth season, Legends Return. Rather than a fresh talent hunt, it gathers 24 singers from past editions and splits them into 12 duos, marked by Himesh Reshammiya and by rival singers. It began on 17 October 2026, in an 8 PM weekend slot on Sony and Sony LIV, reports Adgully.
The line-up announced by Sony, as carried by Indian Broadcasting World, pairs her with Tanishk Shukla, the Season 16 first runner-up she had already duetted with several times. Theirs is one of the freshest pairings in the cast, since both came straight from the Season 16 finale. Our Indian Idol 17 contestants list lists the other pairs.
