How Evictions Work This Season
This season runs on the tagline “Tathas-two”, built around a vardaan that hands contestants a second chance. In practice, a housemate who finishes bottom of the public vote can lose a life instead of leaving at once, and only goes home once both lives are gone. That is why Aman Gandhi survived Week 5 and left in Week 6, and why Mary Kom’s Week 7 exit came after she had lost both of her lifelines. Manish Goel also lost a life to the public vote in Week 7 but stayed in the house.
Not every exit goes through the audience. Rhiti Tiwari was sent home in the middle of Week 4 by the three captaincy contenders, and Nakul Dhull was removed by Bigg Boss in Week 6 after a physical fight with Gullu.
Week-by-Week Details
Week 1: no eviction
The makers had said in advance that nobody would be eliminated in the opening week.
Week 2 – Rohed Khan (Day 14)
Rohed Khan became the first housemate voted out of Bigg Boss 20.
Week 3 – Isha Rikhi (Day 21)
Isha Rikhi was the second evictee. Announcing it, Salman Khan told the house the viewers had voted against her.
Week 4 – Rhiti Tiwari (Day 26, mid-week)
The first non-audience exit of the season: captaincy contenders Yung DSA, Mahhi Vij and Uditi Singh jointly picked Rhiti Tiwari to leave.
Week 5: no exit
Aman Gandhi was bottom of the vote but used up a life rather than leaving.
Week 6 – Nakul Dhull (Day 38) and Aman Gandhi (Day 42)
Wild cards Manish Goel and Nakul Dhull had entered on Day 35. Three days later Nakul Dhull was removed for a physical altercation with Gullu. At the weekend, Aman Gandhi was voted out.
Week 7 – Mary Kom (Day 48)
With Rohit Shetty standing in for Salman Khan on Weekend Ka Vaar, Olympic medallist Mary Kom was evicted after losing both lives.
Week 8 – Aasif Khan (Day 56)
The six nominated for Week 8 were ScoutOP, Love Gill, Aamrapali Dubey, Gullu, Aasif Khan and Kanika Mann. Aasif Khan, who had lost his first life back in Week 2, finished last in the public vote and was evicted at the Weekend Ka Vaar.
