Early Life, Family and Education
Born in Bombay (now Mumbai), Maharashtra, on 31 October 1982, Arjun grew up in a family with Marathi and Sindhi roots. He was nineteen when his father, Sudarshan Bijlani, died. His schooling was at Bombay Scottish School, Mahim, and he went on to H.R. College of Commerce and Economics for college.
Having lost his own father young, Arjun grew deeply attached to his father-in-law and looked on him as a father figure, a Patrika report noted.
Wife Neha Swami Bijlani: Love Story and Marriage
A mutual friend introduced Arjun to Neha Swami at a party, and he fell for her on the spot. Sitting down with her for a Deccan Chronicle interview in 2015, he said the thing that drew him most was her simplicity. Neha, by her own description shy and reserved, needed longer, and the two were friends for a while before they became a couple.
The Times of India, reporting the wedding plans in February 2013, put their first meeting eight years back and said they had been together for five of those years; it added that Neha, from Lucknow, is a niece of actress Deepti Bhatnagar. Arjun has since put it this way: “it took me eight long years to woo Neha before she finally said yes to marriage”.

He hosted India’s Got Talent in January 2022 and the fourteenth season of MTV Splitsvilla that November. In February 2022 he competed with Neha on Star Plus’s Smart Jodi, her first reality show, and the couple finished as second runners-up; he told Filmibeat afterwards that the experience had helped his more introverted wife open up.
He joined Colors TV’s Laughter Chef in 2024. On 17 October 2025 he was crowned the winner of Rise and Fall, Ashneer Grover’s show, in its debut season, collecting a Rs 28 lakh prize.
