Bigg Boss 14 (2020)
Gurpal entered Bigg Boss 14 on Colors TV in October 2020 as one of its Punjabi faces, a season that came after Shehnaaz Gill’s popular run. Her stay was short. She became the first contestant eliminated that season, when the “Toofani Seniors” Hina Khan, Sidharth Shukla and Gauahar Khan picked her as the weakest housemate, The Indian Express reported. The other nominees that week included Nishant Singh Malkani and Rahul Vaidya, and the seniors first weighed Malkani against Vaidya before settling on her.
On being compared with Shehnaaz, she said she did not mind: “Shehnaaz did so well on the show.”
Reality Ranis of the Jungle 2 (2025)
In September 2025 she was part of the second season of Warner Bros. Discovery’s all-women adventure show Reality Ranis of the Jungle, shot on the Goa coastline with Varun Sood as host. It aired on Discovery Channel and discovery+, indiantelevision.com reported.
Sara Gurpal in Rise and Fall 2 (2026)
Rise and Fall 2, produced by Banijay Asia and with Virender Sehwag as host, launched on 26 September 2026 and brought in 15 contestants. Viewers can watch it free on Prime Video or on MX Player’s Android app, with a new episode every day at 12 noon IST across a planned 42-day run, according to Esquire India. The cast is divided between Rulers, housed in a Penthouse, and Workers, who make do with a bare Basement. Her housemates include Bigg Boss 8 winner Gautam Gulati and Niharika Tiwari, as per the contestant list published by Siasat.
Starting places in the first episode were decided by cash. Gurpal was in the last round with Irina Rudakova and Tej Pratap Yadav. Tej Pratap had ₹4 lakh and she had ₹3.5 lakh, but Tej Pratap teamed up with Irina, so those two went to the Penthouse and Gurpal began the game as a Worker in the Basement, Daily Jagran reported.
She played a part in the race for Ultimate Ruler in October. Each of the two contenders, Swara Bhasker and Niharika Tiwari, had to pick a Worker for the deciding challenge, with a direct ticket to the Penthouse on offer for that Worker. Swara chose Manish Kashyap and Niharika backed Gurpal, Adgully reported. Niharika went on to win the Ultimate Ruler title.
Her run ended in week 3. Gurpal was one of five nominated Workers, along with Priyanka, Kajal, Sonam and Manisha, facing a double elimination. When the Rulers chose to save Sonam Malik, she and Kajal Raghwani were both eliminated in episode 25, streamed on 20 October 2026, Filmibeat reported. Wikipedia’s season table logs her exit on Day 21 as “Evicted by Rulers”.
The complete elimination order for the season is on our Rise and Fall 2 contestants list.
